Rotary Halifax Harbour ("the Club," "we," "us," or "our") operates connect.rchh.ca (the "Application") to send event reminders, share the Club's newsletter, and communicate with members and subscribers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you provide. When you sign up at connect.rchh.ca, we collect the information you enter: your name, and, depending on what you sign up for, your email address and/or mobile phone number, along with your notification preferences (e.g., event reminders by email or text, the Catchup newsletter, Ping Blast alerts).
Information collected automatically. To protect our signup and account-recovery forms from automated abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-detection service. Turnstile may process limited technical information about your browser and device as part of verifying you're a real visitor; we do not receive or store this information ourselves. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for how Turnstile works.
Administrator accounts. Club volunteers with administrative access log in with their email address and a one-time code sent to that address. We store the admin's email, name, and role, and a record of login sessions, so we can maintain accountable access to the Application's admin tools.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to the Club's communications with you.
We share information only as needed to operate the Application:
Each of these providers processes information only on our behalf and under their own privacy commitments; we don't permit them to use your information for their own purposes.
We retain subscriber information for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period afterward to honor prior requests (e.g., links you've already been sent) and maintain accurate records. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you communications; you may also ask us to delete your record entirely (see Section 8).
Admin login sessions and activity records are retained as needed for account security and accountability.
The Application is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to review this page periodically.
