These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of connect.rchh.ca (the "Application"), operated by the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour ("the Club," "we," "us," or "our"). By signing up for or otherwise using the Application, you agree to these Terms.
The Application lets people sign up to receive:
and lets Club volunteers manage subscribers and review and send communications. Our Privacy Policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.
The Application is intended for members, supporters, and friends of Rotary Halifax Harbour who wish to receive Club communications, and for Club volunteers who help run them. You must provide accurate contact information and keep it up to date.
When using the Application, you agree to:
The Rotary Halifax Harbour name, logo, and the content of our communications belong to the Club or its licensors. Third-party news items included in the Catchup newsletter (from Rotary International, our District, or our Zone) remain the property of their respective sources.
The Application relies on third-party services (including AWS, Twilio, OpenAI, Cloudflare, and Buffer) to function. We aren't responsible for the availability or performance of those services, though we choose and configure them to protect your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Links in our communications or on this site may lead to third-party websites (including the Club's main site or event pages). We aren't responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we don't operate.
The Application is provided by a volunteer-run community organization on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We don't guarantee that reminders or messages will always be delivered on time or at all — please don't rely on the Application as your sole source for time-sensitive information about Club events.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rotary Halifax Harbour and its volunteers won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Application.
You may stop using the Application at any time by unsubscribing (Section 5 of our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access to any part of the Application, including administrative access, at our discretion — for example, to protect the security of the Application.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Application after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
